 Visit Madre Selva “Mother Rainforest,” a tranquil farm and cacao plantation, on this experiential full two-day retreat,  located an hour outside of Pucallpa. Stay at an Amazon farmhouse and learn about the ecological production and processing of cacao. “Forest bathe” and learn about rainforest ecology in the magical rainforest around Madre Selva. Learn about Asháninka perspectives on happiness and well being. Madre Selva is a charity dedicated to restoring ancestral knowledge and food security to local communities in the Ucayali Region of Perú.Â
Rainforest Magic
Revitalize in the powerful energies of the rainforest with a grounding Amazon forest meditation “Shinrin Yoku” at Madre Selva. Learn about rainforest ecology and how to identify many species of Amazon plants and animals.Â
Chocolate Immersion
Discover Peru’s best kept secret: chocolate! Peru is a leading exporter of fine grade cacao. Learn about the production and cultivation of organic chocolate at Madre Selva and then prepare your own for a sacred “Pachamama” cacao ceremony.

Itinerary
Arrival and Pick-up: Guests will be collected at Pucallpa airport or their hotel and brought the one hour journey to Madre Selva. They will then be returned to their place of origins after the retreat. Guide and translation are included.
Day 1:Â Â
10 am: Pick-up at Pucallpa Airport
11 am:  Arrive at Madre Selva and tour the gardens  and farm.Â
12:30:  Enjoy a delicious vegetarian Amazon lunch made with locally sourced products.
3 pm:Â Make your own chocolate! (Cacao cultivation and production workshop).
6pm:Â Delicious Amazon Dinner.
8pm: Presentation by Asháninka healer, Maestro Haroldo Salazar on Asháninka perspectives on Well Being and Abundance.
9pm: Sacred “Pachamama” cacao ceremony.
Day 2:
8 am: Delicious Amazon Breakfast.
10:30 am:  Ecological walk and shinrin yoku (forest bath) and coconut water refreshments.
1 pm:Â Lunch with smoothies made with Amazon super fruits. Â
2 pm: Return to Pucallpa
